What Is The Twice Exceptional Student/ 2E & Why Does It Matter?

Wednesday, February 17th, 6:00 - 7 pm (note - time change) & 7 - 7:30 pm for Q & A
Acres Green Elementary School, 13524 Acres Green Dr, Littleton, CO 80124 (Lone Tree area)

Presenters:  Sande Ruggles (DCAGT liason), Kim Servia (VP DCAGT and parent), Kelsey Jacobson (Acres Green Elementary School Psych Intern), Beth Collins (Acres Green Elementary School Psych, 2E Cadre), Misty Burkhart (Coordinator for Gifted Education DCSD) and Natasha Strayer (Director, Personalized Learning, DCSD).

The 2E designation is a relatively new topic in the GT world.  There are many GT students who also have dyslexia, auditory processing, ADHD, Asperger’s, autism and other learning disabilities.  These amazing students can have both a GT and IEP/ 504 plan.  Is your child possibly in this scenario?  What is next or how can your child’s needs be best met?  This will be a panel format.
